2016…A New Year…A New Beginning

new-years-day-1063436_1920

As we move into 2016, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank those of you who’ve encouraged me in my journey. I’m working on my second book in my Golden Heart Series, and it promises to send my main character on a more complicated quest as he tries to solve an even greater mystery.

I’d also like to wish everyone a great new year. I hope that you might be able to take an old dream off the shelf, dust it off, and make another attempt to look at it through fresh eyes.

Or, you may be satisfied right where you are; enjoying family, grandchildren, or working on a hobby. Time passes by so quickly. One minute we’re rushing our children to and fro, getting them to practice and other events, and the next minute, we’re attending our grandchildren’s sporting events and school functions.

Make sure you take time for you. Live healthy, eat healthy, and let this be the year that you decide to do something for you; something you’ve always wanted to do but never found the time.

This is hoping that you find the time.

Happy New Year, stay safe, and may God bless you.

We Have A Winner!

As you can see, my good friend, Sirus here (one of the characters in my book), is quite happy to announce the winner of a signed copy of my book. Congratulations to Kirk Kraft from the state of Washington! The book is on its way.

I’d like to thank everyone who entered to win a copy of my book, and for those of you who stopped by my book launch page and signed my guest book. It’s not too late to stop by if you haven’t already. The book launch page will stay up until April. I hope to give away more prizes in the near future!

News:    I officially began the 2nd book in my Golden Heart series. My main character has a big problem when he discovers there’s another heart that he must find before the Syzygy begins. But someone close to him has disappeared, and he was counting on this person for help. Will he lose hope before it’s too late? Will he discover this person in time?

More news:    I’m also working on another project for Young Adult/Adult readers. When the idea presented itself to me, the first chapter practically wrote itself. I’m excited about it, and I think you will be, too. As I get farther along, I’ll keep you updated on its progress!

It’s the Christmas season, and I’d like to say that whatever we do in life, and whatever road life takes us down, may we always be big enough to be humble enough to know that any talent we have is because of the God who gives it. “But for the grace of God, go I.” Things don’t always turn out the way we plan, but it’s during such times as these when we can reflect and realize that these times build character in our lives if we can keep HOPE and not give up.

May you have a wonderful Christmas with lots of blessings! I’m thankful for family and friends. You are what makes this sometimes mundane world go round, and who bring a bit of joy into our lives. It’s a blessing to know that there are no strangers here! It’s a place I invite you to come for lasting friendships.

Are You Satisfied With Your Life?

Are you happy? Are you happy with your life? Whatever you’re doing now, is it something that you really want to do for the rest of your life? Does your life have purpose? Are you making the most of it? Are you happy with your job?

Don’t be sad. There is no better time than NOW to think about where you want to go with your life. Is life a meaningless drag? You don’t have to settle for a mundane existence. As a matter of fact, I urge you NOT to settle for a mundane existence. Think about all the possibilities that life has to offer. There are so many things to do. So many doors of opportunities and that is because we live in America.

What are good at? Are you using the abilities you were born with?

I believe that we have all been born with some kind of talent. We just need to discover what that is. And the only way you can to this is look within your heart and find it. It’ll be something that you want to do more than anything else.

What makes you smile? What gives you pleasure whenever you think of it? Look deep within your heart and you will discover it. What do you have to lose? The difference between those who are successful and those who are not is that those who succeed never gave up.

I’ve spent many years not doing what I love. So I care about those who have always had a desire to do what they love, but never found encouragement to step out and do it. I encourage you  to walk down the path toward your dream. Life is too short.

Where Will Your Journey Take You?

I think we all may have asked that question before. I have. I’m not sure where my journey will lead, but I do believe it will be exciting to discover. If you’ve read my About and What is Your Passion pages, then you know my passion is writing and creating.

So, my journey has begun. I don’t know where the paths will lead, what direction I am to go, or what tumult lies ahead, but not to fret, I’m confident that my paths will lead me to new chapters, and I’ll pass the forest wall into meadows of new and exciting wonders. And not only for me, but for you, too.

Come along and through the journey perhaps you’ll discover new opportunities and chapters for yourself. It would be a pleasure to have you aboard as we sail into new horizons. I’d like to see you discover your purpose for your visit on this planet and then live it with meaning and passion.

Follow your heart, your dreams, reach for the stars, and never give up. We are all in this world together, and we all need encouragement along the way–especially moms and dads, singles, divorced, teens who find themselves facing a mountain of obstacles, and well, we all need encouragement don’t we?

Keep striving to do your best and your best will find you.

And try to smile even though it’s hard to find one some days.

~blessings to you
